About the program

The Global Program is aimed at:

  • Teachers and school administrators who wish to become leaders in using technology to create engaging educational experiences for learners.
  • Staff from institutions of all types wishing to begin or expand outreach activities using technology.
  • People wishing to build qualifications to work in higher education or professional training positions.
  • People thinking about eventually pursing a doctorate degree in a field related to educational technology.

Participants in this program will:
  • Create innovative educational activities and programs in collaboration with professionals in a variety of international fields.
  • Learn up-to-date principles and techniques of interactive web design.
  • Develop new technological and pedagogical frameworks to support more meaningful and relevant education at every level.
  • Join a community of educational innovators who will be poised to reinvent education for the needs and opportunities of the 21st century.

The next "cohort" (group of participants) will begin in May, 2009.  Summer residencies in Geneva occur mid-July through early August in 2009 and 2010.  Housing, meals, and classroom instruction during the residencies will take place at the John Knox Center in Geneva.
